Compassion Pit perfectly embodies what the music of Texture & Light stands for - it is both heavy and light, fit for dancing and for daydreaming.
Ocean waves give way to weird and wonderful melodic synth lines and analog drum machine beats that invite the listener’s body to sway like care-free seaweed in the tide, while the lyrics paint a story of depth, feeling, pain, and hope. Hazy guitar lines round out the sonic spectrum, providing an anchor in this sea of electronic dreams.
